Dr. Ibrahim Al Mishari,
Former CIO of Saudi Aramco
Dr. Ibrahim Al Mishari has over 33 experience in the Saudi Oil Industry. He has in-depth knowledge of Exploration and Production, Refining and Marketing, Computer and Communication, and Corporate Planning. In the last 16 years prior to his normal retirement from Saudi Aramco he held a number of executive positions as Vice President in charge of Marketing and Supply Planning, Information Technology, Corporate Planning, Computer and Communication and the Chairman,President and CEO of Aramco Services Company in Houston, Texas. He was also the Executive in charge of World-wide implentation of SAP system across all funcions and operations of Saudi Aramco. For the period November 1998 through January 2006 Dr. Mishari held the position of CIO reporting directly to the President and CEO, Saudi Aramco.
Dr. Mishari is a gradute of Leeds University, England and completed the Program for Executives at Carnegie-Millon University, and Aramco Executive Program at George Town University in washington D.C. He is also a member of the Society of Petroluem Engineersand the National Associate of Corporate Directors, and was a key participent in establishing the first Saudi National Computer Society.
Has worked in a number of advisory committees on e-commerce, e-goverment, and was a member of External Advisory Board to the BlueGene/L Project in White Plain, New York.
